California Public Records Act Requests
General Authority
It is the policy of the California Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle)
to make records requested by the public promptly available in accordance with the laws governing
disclosure of records and information to the public.
In general, all records in the possession of a
state agency are public records subject to disclosure, unless a law provides that a particular
kind of record or information is not a public record or is exempt or prohibited from disclosure.

How to Make a Request
CalRecycle's records are available for public review as provided under
Government Code section 7920.000 et seq.
of the Public Records Act.
You may request copies of public records, or make an appointment to
review them at CalRecycle's offices, through our
CalRecycle Public Records Portal.
