June Workshop Date Change-DTSC and US EPA Region 9 Brownfields Grant Workshops, 5/28-29 (Blue Lake) & 6/19 (Bishop)

The California Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) and the United State Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA) Region 9 will conduct two grant workshops in May and June 2015 focused on Brownsfield grant opportunities.  The workshops will focus on how to competitively apply for state and federal Brownfields grants that will assist with site assessment and cleanup, moving these projects toward the desired redevelopment outcome. The first half of the workshop will cover: Types of Grant Funding, Applicant and Site Eligibility Criteria; Scoring Criteria; Application Steps; and Success Stories; with special presentations on Case Studies by successful Tribal applicants and grantees who have used funding from multiple sources. The second half of workshop will discuss the elements of strong proposal(s) with the guidance of agency representatives for those with specific questions about their particular sites and situation.

The workshops will begin with check-in from 8:00 AM to 8:30 AM; presentations will run from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. The best practices for writing grant proposal session will begin at 1:15 PM.  The workshops will be held at the following dates and locations:
