SB 54 Advisory Board Meeting Announcement: Remote Board Member Attendance
Pursuant to the Bagley-Kene Open Meeting Act [Government Code 11123.5 (c)], CalRecycle is providing at least 24-hour notice that the following advisory board members will be attending the advisory board meeting remotely:
Neil S. Edgar, Executive Director of California Compost Coalition, representative of a composting industry operating in the State of California
Wes Carter, President & Co-Founder of Atlantic Packaging Corp, representative of a manufacturer of covered materials
As a reminder, on February 2, 2024, CalRecycle will host the first Advisory Board meeting for the implementation of SB 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022). During this meeting, CalRecycle will introduce the 16-member Advisory Board, provide an overview of the requirements for the Advisory Board pursuant to Section 42070 of the Public Resources Code (PRC), and provide an overview of the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act. The second half of the meeting will be facilitated by the Advisory Board following the election of an Advisory Board Chair. More information about this meeting is below:
