CalRecycle is hosting a webinar on the requirements of the Short-Lived Climate Pollutants: Organic Waste Reductions Law (SB 1383) for Non-Local Entities (entities not subject to the control of a jurisdiction’s regulations related to solid waste, including but not limited to: special districts, federal facilities, prisons, facilities operated by the state parks system, public universities, including community colleges, county fairgrounds, and state agencies).  SB 1383 requires Non-Local Entities to recycle their organic waste (includes food, green material, landscape and pruning waste, organic textiles and carpets, lumber, wood, paper products, printing and writing paper, manure, biosolids, digestate, and sludges) and in some cases donate edible food.   This webinar will help you understand the requirements and will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask questions. Compliance for SB 1383 begins January 1, 2022.
