Updated Version of Needs Assessment Discussion Document for May 1st Workshop
On May 1, 2024, CalRecycle will hold a non-regulatory workshop (see public notice) to consult with the public, the regulated community, third-party contractors, and other interested parties to solicit feedback on some of the requirements outlined in SB 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022). The needs assessment is one of the topics that will be covered at this non-regulatory workshop.

CalRecycle posted an updated version of the discussion document for the needs assessment topic on our website. CalRecycle provides discussion documents for the public to review workshop concepts in advance of the workshop. The purpose of these documents is to provide interested parties with an overall outline of what is going to be discussed, and the specific feedback that CalRecycle plans on soliciting from workshop participants and in written public comments.
Changes were made to:

  • NA Item 1 and NA Item 2 to reflect the recently released solicitation for the Source Reduction Baseline Study; and
  • NA Item 7 to provide a more comprehensive description of the process for contracted studies.
