SB 54 Advisory Board Meeting Announcement:
May 3rd, 2024 SB 54 Advisory Board Meeting, Remote Board Member Attendance
Pursuant to the Bagley-Keene Open Meeting Act [Government Code 11123.5 (c)], on behalf of the SB 54 Advisory Board, CalRecycle is providing at least 24-hour notice that the following advisory board members will be attending the advisory board meeting remotely:
Patrick Keenan, Associate Packaging Principal Engineer of General Mills, Represents a manufacturer of covered materials
Ajit Perera, Vice President & Co-Founder of Atlantic Packaging Corp, Represents a manufacturer of covered materials
Doug Kobold, Executive Director of the California Product Stewardship Council, Represents an environmental protection agency
Shane Buckingham, EPR Program Planning Lead for Circular Action Alliance, Represents a producer responsibility organization
Thomas A. Helm, Co-Founder & Project Director of Valley Improvement Projects, Represents an environmental justice organization
Erin Levine, Resource Recovery Manager of World Centric, Represents a manufacturer that produces third-party certified compostable covered material
On Friday, May 3rd, 2024, the SB 54 Advisory Board will host the Advisory Board meeting for the implementation of SB 54 (Allen, Chapter 75, Statutes of 2022).
During this meeting, the SB 54 Advisory Board will:
- Discuss draft regulations and propose recommendations to submit for the 45-Day comment period.
