CalRecycle is hosting a full-day workshop titled “The Truth About Textiles” to raise awareness of the problems associated with textiles production, consumption, and disposaland to share potential solutions.

We’re bringing together forward-thinking and innovative industry leaders to discuss how to reduce the incredible volume of textile waste and its associated environmental impacts.

We are excited to announce our agenda and expert panelists representing various aspects of the textile manufacturing and recycling industries. 

The workshop will be held Tuesday, December 3, at 10 a.m. in the CalEPA Building, 1001 I St., Sacramento.  We look forward to seeing you there! Please register here. Parking:

Metered street parking is available around the CalEPA Building but is generally taken by mid-morning. The nearest parking garages are City Hall Garage (10th & I St entrance) and Capitol Garage (10th & L St entrance), and cost $3/hr.  Nearby Lot D (12th & I St) has a $10 flat weekday rate. Lunch options:

There is a small cafeteria-style café in the CalEPA building and an abundance of options nearby. Staff recommend La Cosecha (Mexican), La Bonne Soupe Café (soup/salad/sandwiches), Mother (vegetarian), Darna Mediterranean Kitchen (great buffet option), Bangkok@12Thai (Thai), and Takumi (Japanese).
