Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: Increase the tons per day received from 470 to 3000. Increase the total permitted area from 253 acres to 1688 acres and increase the disposal footprint from 27 acres to 544 acres; Increase the design capacity from 2,262,243 cubic yards to 78 million cubic yards; Adjust the closure year from 2014 to 2023; Increase the operating hours from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. to 6 a.m. -6 p.m. Update to the Extreme Weather Plan; Update and/or delete the LEA permit conditions; Update the Preliminary Closure Post-Closure Maintenance Plan Cost Estimates; and Update the Joint Technical Document.
