Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: Increase the total permitted area from 491 acres to 603 acres; Increase the permitted disposal area from 324 acres to 349.2 acres; Increase the maximum elevation from 883 feet above mean sea level (amsl) to 1,050 feet amsl; Increase the maximum depth from 434 feet amsl to 431 feet amsl; Increase the maximum daily waste tonnage from 3,965 tons per day (tpd) to 5,000 tpd; Increase traffic volume from 620 vehicles per day to 869 municipal solid waste tickets per day; Include a total design capacity of 147,908,000 cubic yards; and update the estimated closure date from 2031 to 2042.
