On October 6, 2015, the Lake County Environmental Health Department granted a waiver of standards for the Quakenbush Mountain Resource Recovery and Composting Facility for a period of 120 days, for the Valley Fire debris removal program.  The emergency waiver was extended to November 5, 2016.
