 Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the proposed permit would allow for the following:

 A new Large Volume Transfer Station (TS) for processing municipal solid waste (MSW) together with an Inert Debris Type A Disposal Facility. The TS will be located on 20 acres and the Inert Cell will be contained within 0.98 acres; both located within the existing property boundary of the Glenn County Landfill.  The design capacity of the Inert Cell is 5,000 cubic yards.  The maximum permitted tonnage would be 250 tons per day (TPD); with a max of 200 TPD for Transfer /Processing and 50 TPD for Inert Debris Type A disposal.  Hours of operation for Waste Receiving (municipal & commercial haulers) and public tipping will be 6:30 A.M. – 5:30 P.M. 7 days a week with site preparations allowed up to an hour before opening and an hour after closing.  The facility will be closed on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.
