On February 22, 2016, the Calaveras County Environmental Health Department granted a waiver of standards for the Rock Creek Landfill 05-AA-0023 for a period of 120 days.  The waiver allows for the permitted maximum daily tonnage limit of 500 tons per day to be exceeded in order to accept soil form the Butte Fire clean-up process.
