This workshop will present and discuss issues associated with the “designated approved collector” provision within the covered electronic waste (CEW) recycling payment system. CalRecycle will provide as a discussion topic draft regulations to revise aspects of this provision, such as designating authorities, scopes and oversight, timeframes, and other considerations. Proposed changes would be intended to improve the integrity of the provision. This workshop is a continuation of discussions held on this topic at previous workshops in June 2013March 2014, and December 2015. In addition to the agenda, this notice contains key background documents from the December 2015 workshop and draft regulatory language for discussion purposes.
