This approved rulemaking proposes is to modify a portion of existing regulations and add new regulations related to designated approved collectors, which are entities that provide covered electronic waste (CEW) recovery services on behalf of California local governments. The regulatory language was informed by staff experience with the CEW recovery and recycling payment program, as well as several workshops and stakeholder interactions held since 2013.
