Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: Construct and operate a Transfer/Processing Facility (Materials Recovery Facility), an Anaerobic Digestion Facility and a Compost Management Unit within the current permitted boundary of the Tajiguas Landfill; and Update the estimated closure year from 2023 to 2036.  There will be no change in hours for Waste Receipt and Disposal; Composting hours will be Monday - Tuesday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday - Saturday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM; Cover, Compaction, Construction and Maintenance hours will change from Monday - Tuesday 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Wednesday - Saturday 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM to Monday - Saturday 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Construction Only hours will change on Monday - Tuesday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, rest of the week the hours remain the same.  There will be no increase in the permitted area, daily tonnage or traffic.
