Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the proposed permit would allow for the following: • Combine the two existing Registration Tier Permits (40-AA-0039 and 40-AA-0040) into a new Full Solid Waste Facility Permit as a Large Volume Transfer/Processing Facility on four acres; • Add commercial food material and municipal solid waste to the types of materials permitted for processing and handling; Increase the maximum daily permitted capacity from 273 tons per day (tpd) to 500 tpd including source separated commingled residential and commercial recyclables (the operator will be limited to accepting 200 tpd of municipal solid waste and 50 tpd of commercial food material); • Allow the receipt of material from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and processing, cleaning, and maintenance hours from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday thru Saturday; • Construct a new fully enclosed commercial food material processing facility, a new tipping floor and covered awning for municipal solid waste processing operations, and a new covered awning for the existing mixed green material/residential food material tipping floor.
