Notice of Solicitation for Carpet Stewardship Program Advisory Committee Applications

The Product Stewardship for Carpet Law (PRC Sections 42970-42983) as amended by Assembly Bill 1158 (Carpet Recycling, Chu, 2017), requires the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to appoint an Advisory Committee to provide recommendations to a carpet manufacturer or stewardship organization and to the Department on carpet stewardship plans, plan amendments, and annual reports.  CalRecycle is accepting applications for the Carpet Stewardship Program Advisory Committee until November 10, 2017.  Please see the attached solicitation and instructions document for more information.  Advisory Committee applicants will be evaluated and proposed appointments will be considered by the Director at CalRecycle’s December 19, 2017 monthly public meeting.  CalRecycle intends that the Advisory Committee be in place as of January 1, 2018 (i.e., the effective date of AB 1158).
