CalRecycle will conduct a short training webinar on the mattress annual reporting requirements and reporting process for used mattress recyclers, renovators, and solid waste facilities. Topics will include an overview of the definitions of who is required to report, what the reporting requirements are, how to utilize the Mattress Recovery and Recycling Program database, and tools available to assist reporting entities. Staff encourage specific questions be submitted to mattresses@calrecycle.ca.gov by February 1, 2018 to better tailor the webinar content.
As a reminder, mattress recyclers, renovators and solid waste facilities that accept used mattresses from the public are required to report quantitative information on the disposition of mattresses to the Department annually on May 1st. Failure to do so may lead to enforcement action by the Department.
