Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the proposed permit would allow for the following: Combine the existing Green Material Chipping and Grinding Operation operating under an Enforcement Agency Notification (40-AA-0045) and Medium Volume Transfer/Processing Facility operating under a Registration Tier Permit (40-AA-0047) into a new Full Solid Waste Facility Permit as a Large Volume Transfer/Processing Facility; Decrease the maximum daily permitted tonnage from a combined 300 tons per day (tpd) to 200 tpd (including source separated commingled residential and commercial recyclables); Add green material mixed with food material, food material, mixed municipal solid waste, and construction and demolition debris to the list of materials permitted for processing and handling; Hours of operation for material receipt, processing and maintenance from 4:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday and closed Sunday; Total facility size of 5.19 acres with transfer processing operations on 2.3 acres; and the continuation of all existing operations, including those associated with the recycling facility.
