The Department is currently serving as the solid waste enforcement agency for San Benito County. The operator submitted an application for a registration permit to increase the site capacity from 570 tons to 740 tons; increase the operating area from 0.8 acres to 1.5 acres; add a sorting line to process material more efficiently; and add agricultural material as a waste type accepted. The facility is an existing Medium Volume Transfer/Processing Facility that is permitted to receive less than 100 tons per day of construction and demolition and inert debris and green material.
