Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following permit and operational/design changes: Change of Facility name from City of Santa Monica Refuse Transfer Station to City of Santa Monica Resource Recovery Center; Change of Facility address from 2500 Michigan Ave. to 2401-2411 Delaware Ave.; Change of Permitted Hours of Operation from 4:00AM - 6:00PM Monday through Friday to 5:00AM - 6:00 PM Monday through Friday (Saturday hours unchanged); Change of Permitted Acres from 0.98 to 5.34; Revision to "Documents" section; Revision to "LEA conditions" section. Design change from an open-air transfer station to a partially enclosed Material Recovery Facility; Design change to include a new Self Haul facility and a new scale system.
