On December 11, 2018, Los Angeles County Public Health, Solid Waste Management Program, Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), granted an emergency waiver of the permitted daily tonnage until March 11, 2019, due to the emergency resulting from the Hill and Woolsey Fires. On March 1, 2019, the LEA granted an extension of the waiver from March 11, 2019 to June 9, 2019.
