Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes:

 ·       An increase in permitted maximum tonnage from 1,500 tons per day to 3,000 tons per day. There will be four incremental increases effective on January 1 of each specified calendar year:  2019 – 2,000 TPD; 2020 – 2,200 TPD; 2025 – 2,450 TPD; 2030 – 2,700 TPD; 2035 – 3,000 TPD. 

 ·       An increase in permitted traffic volume from 554 vehicles per day to 800 vehicles per day. There will be four incremental increases effective on January 1 of each specified calendar year:  2019 – 554 VPD; 2020 – 600 VPD; 2025 – 675; 2030 – 750 VPD; 2035 – 800 VPD.

  ·        The estimated closure date will be updated from 2065 to 2055.
