On May 29, 2020, the City of Pittsburg Environmental Affairs Division, Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) granted an emergency waiver for the permitted daily tonnage and traffic volume until September 26, 2020 due to the emergency resulting from Covid-19. On September 22, the operator requested an extension. On September 23, the LEA granted the extension. On January 20, 2021, the operator requested another extension. The LEA approved the request on January 21, 2021. On May 19, 2021, the operator requested a 3rd extension of the Emergency Waiver, the LEA approved an extension on May 20, 2021. On September 16, 2021, a 4th extension was requested by the operator, LEA granted the request on September 16, 2021. On January 13, 2022, a 5th extension was requested by the operator, LEA granted the request on January 14, 2022.
