Public Resources Code Section 42972.1(a) requires CalRecycle to appoint members to the Carpet Stewardship Program Advisory Committee (Advisory Committee). The role of the Advisory Committee is to provide comments and recommendations to the carpet stewardship organization and CalRecycle based on its review of drafts of carpet stewardship plans, plan amendments, and annual reports. CalRecycle solicited applications from local government representatives from July 14, 2020 to August 14, 2020. Staff’s recommendation for appointment to the Advisory Committee will be announced at a CalRecycle monthly public meeting.
