On September 24, 2020, the County of Butte Local Enforcement Agency granted an emergency wavier for the permitted tonnage, vehicle count, operational and waste accept hours, transfer processing limits, and to accept animal carcasses until January 22, 2021, due to the North Complex West Zone Fire (AKA Bear Fire). On January 21, 2021, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency wavier through May 21, 2021.
