On January 4, 2021, the Los Angeles County Local Enforcement Agency (LEA) granted an emergency waiver to allow the acceptance of disaster debris until May 4, 2021, due to the emergency resulting from fires.  On May 3, 2021, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until September 1, 2021.  On August 31, 2021, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until December 30, 2021.  On January 3, 2022, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until April 30, 2022.  On April 28, 2022, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until August 30, 2022.
