On February 10, 2021, the City of San Diego Solid Waste Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), granted an emergency waiver of the permitted hours of operation until June 10, 2021, due to the emergency resulting from COVID-19. On June 10, 2021 the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until October 8, 2021. On November 15, 2021, the LEA granted another emergency waiver of the permitted hours of operation until March 14, 2022. On March 15, 2022, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until July 12, 2022. On July 18, 2022, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until November 15, 2022. On November 16, 2022, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until March 16, 2023. On February 17, 2023, the LEA determined that the emergency waiver will be terminated on February 28, 2023.
