Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: The application package is for a modified full solid waste facilities permit proposing to replace old equipment with new recycling equipment to process single stream recyclables. The new equipment will be semi-automated, and along with hand-sorting, will separate the recyclables into their various individual commodities and bale or store them for shipment to third-party processing facilities. All recyclable processing activities will occur within the transfer station buildings at the facility. The facility permit has also been modified to reflect current solid waste regulation and LEA conditions.
