Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: an increase the maximum daily tonnage from 350 tons per day to 1,675 tons per day; expansion of the total permitted area from 7 acres to 12 acres; an increase maximum traffic volume from 1,090 vehicles per day to 1,658 vehicles per day; an increase in the days and hours of operation for the public from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday to 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days a week; an increase in the hours of operation for the operator and contract staff from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days per week to 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. seven days per week; construction a new building for receiving and loading recycling and municipal solid waste materials; conversion of the existing public receiving area building to serve as the organics receiving and transfer building; construction of ancillary areas for the receipt and processing of green materials and construction and demolition materials; expansion of the site entrance road and installation of new scale facilities (two scale houses and four scales); and updates to the Report of Facility Information. An updated SWFP was received on January 24, 2022.
