This item presents a summary of staff’s analysis of MED-Project’s revised stewardship plan, titled, “A Product Stewardship Plan for Home-Generated Sharps Waste,” submitted to CalRecycle on August 22, 2022.
Pursuant to the conditions specified in CalRecycle’s June 2022, Request for Approval, MED-Project was required to submit a revised sharps plan, within 60 days from June 23, 2022, that included the additional information to meet the conditions outlined in the “Summary of Staff Analysis” section of the Request for Approval and the requirements of Public Resources Code section 42032.2 and Title 14, California Code of Regulations, section 18972.1 et seq. for the establishment and implementation of a stewardship program.
