On January 12, 2023, the San Mateo County Environmental Health Department, granted an emergency waiver to the facility to: 1) Exceed the permitted daily tonnage of 3,598 tons/day; 2) Exceed the permitted hours of operation set at 4:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday – Saturday; and 3) Exceed the permitted traffic volume of 501 vehicles/day, until May 12, 2023, due to the emergency resulting from the January 2023 winter storm.
