Newby Island Sanitary Landfill - City of San Jose

On March 25, 2023, the City of San Jose Department of Planning, Building, and Code Enforcement (LEA) granted an emergency waiver of the permitted daily tonnage, hours of operation, and to allow unsorted disaster related recyclable debris to remain to remain unprocessed for a period not to exceed seven days until July 23, 2023, due to the emergency resulting from severe winter storms throughout the state.
