Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following: Combine and reconfigure separately permitted existing landfills, i.e., Antelope Valley Public Landfill (AVPL) I and AVPL II, into one contiguous disposal area of 125 acres; with a facility boundary of a 185 acres; tonnage will be 1,800 tons per day (tpd) with a maximum daily intake of refuse and materials for all site activities to 3,564 tpd; hours of waste acceptance 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. for all users and; the estimated closure date is 2042.
