Public Resources Code section 42988 requires Mattress Recycling Council to submit a proposed program budget on or before July 1 of each year to demonstrate adequate funding to cover the anticipated costs of implementing the program in the upcoming year. 

This item presents staff’s analysis of Mattress Recycling Council’s proposed Used Mattress Recovery and Recycling 2024 Program Budget submitted June 30, 2023. 

CalRecycle has 90 days from the date of receipt of an annual program budget to review and adopt a finding of approval, conditional approval, or disapproval.
