Public Notice: OAL Approval of Covered Electronic Waste Recovery and Recycling Payment Rates

On May 22, 2024, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved file and print regulations to increase the following covered electronic waste (CEW) recovery and recycling payment rates:

• Standard Statewide Recovery Payment Rate for all CEW from $0.35 per pound to $0.40 per pound
• Standard Statewide Combined Recovery and Recycling Payment Rate for:
• Cathode ray tube (CRT) CEW from $0.98 per pound to $1.13 per pound
• Non-CRT CEW from $1.10 per pound to $1.15 per pound

The file and print regulations amended Title 14, California Code of Regulations (CCR), Division 7, Chapter 8.2, Sections 18660.24, 18660.25, 18660.33, and 18660.34.

The effective date of these regulations is July 1, 2024.
