The Foundation was required to submit a revised annual report for its home-generated sharps waste stewardship program within 60 days of July 29, 2024, that addressed the deficiencies described in the Request for Action (RFA) titled, Consideration of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s 2023 Annual Report for Home-Generated Sharps Waste, and meets the requirements specified in the notice titled, Notice Regarding Disapproval of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s 2023 Annual Report for Home-Generated Sharps Waste.
The Foundation was also required to submit a revised annual program budget for its home-generated sharps waste stewardship program within 60 days of July 31, 2024, that addressed the deficiencies described in the RFA titled, Consideration of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s 2025 Annual Program Budget for Home-Generated Sharps Waste, and meets the requirements specified in the notice titled, Notice Regarding Disapproval of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s 2025 Annual Program Budget for Home-Generated Sharps Waste.
CalRecycle has 90 days from the date of receipt of a complete annual report and annual program budget to review the document(s) and adopt a finding of approval, conditional approval, or disapproval.
