On September 12, 2024 the Shasta County Environmental Health Division Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), granted an emergency waiver of permitted daily tonnage until April 11, 2025, due to the emergency resulting from the Park and Gold Complex fires.

On April 1, 2025, the operator requested a second extension of the emergency waiver. The LEA granted a 90-day extension until July 10, 2025. On July 1, 2025, the operator requested a third extension of the emergency waiver. The LEA granted a 60-day extension until September 8, 2025. On August 29, 2025, the operator requested a fourth extension of the emergency waiver. On September 4, 2025, the LEA granted a 90-day extension until December 7, 2025.
