On October 17, 2024, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, Local Enforcement Agency (LEA), granted an emergency waiver of the permitted maximum tonnage and traffic volume until February 28, 2025, due to the emergency resulting from the fires.  On January 15, 2025, the LEA granted an extension of the emergency waiver until April 15, 2025.
