Overview
The purpose of this workshop is to consult with the public,
the regulated community, and other interested persons to solicit feedback on
draft regulatory concepts updating the methodology to be used for calculating
the per-container handling fee paid to eligible participants. The purpose of
these draft regulatory concepts is to implement, make specific, and clarify SB
156, Chapter 72, Statutes of 2024.

At the public workshop CalRecycle will be presenting
regulatory concepts of handling fee.
How to Participate in the Workshop
CalRecycle will hold the hybrid public workshop starting at
6:00 pm on November 14, 2024, to solicit
stakeholder feedback on this matter. The public workshop will be a hybrid
in-person and virtual workshop, accessible in person at the Haagen-Smit
Auditorium, California Air Resource Board Southern California Headquarters,
located at 4001 Iowa Avenue, Riverside, California. The public workshop will
also be accessible virtually via Zoom or Webcast for observation only.
Simultaneous Spanish
interpretation will be available in-person at the workshop and remotely via
Zoom or webcast. For in-person interpretation services, headsets will be
available and can be provided by CalRecycle staff prior to or during the
workshop. If you need interpretation services in a language other than Spanish,
please notify the Department at regulations@calrecycle.ca.gov by November 5, 2024, and we will do our best to
accommodate your request.
