Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: Increase the total permitted area from 297.45 acres to 887 acres and increase the disposal footprint from 185.1 acres to 368 acres; Increase the design capacity from 43,500,000 cubic yards to 119,600,000 cubic yards; Increase the traffic volume from 822 vehicles per day to 892 vehicles per day; Increase the maximum elevation from 1118 mean sea level to 1270 mean sea level; Increase in maximum tonnage from 3,000 tons per day (MSW) to 9,250 tons per day (MSW = 6,000 tpd, Beneficial Use/Other = 3,250); Extension of estimated closure date from 2022 to 2052; Revision of LEA permit conditions and monitoring programs; Revision of Joint Technical Document.
