This item presents staff’s analysis of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s (The Foundation) proposed changes to its stewardship plan for covered drugs, submitted February 13, 2025, regarding its reasonable geographic spread of authorized collection sites and other changes.

On March 7, 2025, The Foundation rescinded Attachment A of its submittal, regarding reasonable geographic spread of authorized collection sites. 

Regarding the documents listed below, The Foundation initially submitted a proposed change to its stewardship plan regarding reasonable geographic spread on December 5, 2024, and rescinded the proposed change on January 21, 2025.  

Public Resources Code section 42032(e) and Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations section 18973.1(i) require a program operator to submit any significant changes to a stewardship plan in writing to CalRecycle for approval prior to implementation.
