Overview:
The Department
of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will hold a public information
session on February 3, 2025, to present information on the recent publications
of the updated Covered Material Categories (CMCs) List, with updated recyclability
and compostability determinations, and the Source Reduction Baseline Study.
Public Participation:
The
publications to be discussed (linked above) are posted on CalRecycle’s Covered Material Categories webpage and Needs Assessment webpage. Interested parties can access and review
the content in advance. There will be opportunities for the public to ask
questions and provide comments during the information session. CalRecycle
requests that questions and comments be focused on the specific topics being
discussed.

Participate in the Information Session:
CalRecycle will
hold the information session starting at 01:00 PM on February 3, 2025.
The information session will be a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting.

provide comments during the informational session.

If you are participating remotely and anticipate asking questions, we recommend
you join through Zoom. No registration is necessary to view the webcast.
Spanish Translation:
Simultaneous Spanish interpretation
will be available in-person at the workshop and remotely via Zoom or webcast.
For in-person interpretation services, headsets will be available and can be
provided by CalRecycle staff prior to or during the workshop. If you need
interpretation services in a language other than Spanish, please notify the
Department at packaging@CalRecycle.ca.gov by January 27, 2025, and we will do our best to
accommodate your request.

via Zoom. Questions and comments may also be submitted prior to, and after, the
