This item presents staff’s analysis of The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation’s proposed changes to its stewardship plan for home-generated sharps waste, submitted January 29, 2025, regarding its mail-back program, education and outreach metrics, and local agency requests. 

 

Public Resources Code section 42032(e) and Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations section 18973.1(i) require a program operator to submit any significant changes to a stewardship plan in writing to CalRecycle for approval prior to implementation.
