Preliminary review of the permit package indicates the following proposed changes: increasing the permitted hours of operation for waste receipt, disposal and composting operations from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday and Tuesday and 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday through Saturday to 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday; increasing the permitted maximum tonnage from 1,500 tons per day to 9,000 tons per week; increasing the disposal permitted area from 118 acres to 132.25 acres; increasing the design capacity from 23.3 million cubic yards to 29.4 million cubic yards; increasing the maximum elevation from 620 feet mean sea level to 650 feet mean sea level; and increasing the estimated closure year from 2036 to 2038.
