Public Notice: Notice of Covered Battery-Embedded Waste Recycling Fee Emergency Regulations Final OAL Approval

On December 1, 2025, the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) approved the Covered Battery-Embedded Waste Recycling Fee emergency regulations. These regulations establish a covered battery-embedded waste recycling fee based on the reasonable regulatory costs to administer covered electronic waste recycling per Public Resources Code (PRC) section 42464(b)(3).

The effective date of these regulations is January 1, 2026. They will expire on January 1, 2028.
