This item presents staff’s analysis of MED-Project’s proposed changes to its stewardship plan for home-generated sharps waste, submitted December 11, 2025, regarding providing sharps waste containers and mail-back materials at the point of sale.

Public Resources Code section 42032(e) and Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations section 18973.1(i) require a program operator to submit any significant changes to a stewardship plan in writing to CalRecycle for approval prior to implementation.
