Overview
The Department of
Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) will hold an informational public
workshop on April 7, 2026. The purpose of this workshop is to provide an
overview of the needs assessment described in the Responsible
Textile Recovery Act of 2024 (SB 707, Newman, Chapter 864, Statutes of 2024). Interested
parties will be invited to ask questions.

CalRecycle will hold a
public workshop starting at 10:00 a.m. The workshop will be a hybrid in-person
and virtual workshop, accessible in person in the Byron Sher Auditorium, 2nd
floor, 1001 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814. The Byron Sher Auditorium is
wheelchair accessible. The public workshop will also be accessible virtually
via Zoom for direct participation, and via Webcast for observation only.
Language Access
Simultaneous Spanish
interpretation will be available in-person at the workshop and remotely via
Zoom or webcast. For in-person interpretation services, headsets will be
available and can be provided by CalRecycle staff prior to or during the
workshop. If you need interpretation services in a language other than Spanish,
please notify CalRecycle at Textiles@CalRecycle.ca.gov by Tuesday, March 24, 2026, and we will do our best to
accommodate your request.
Important
Interested parties
will be able to provide oral comments and ask questions both in person and via
Zoom during the workshop.
