On January 26, 2026, The Drug Takeback Solutions Foundation (Foundation) submitted notification of its intent to terminate its stewardship plans for covered drugs and home-generated sharps waste. The effective date of termination is June 30, 2026.

Foundation is one of two program operators implementing covered drugs and home-generated sharps waste stewardship programs in the state. There are currently, and will continue to be, operational programs for covered drugs and sharps despite Foundation’s termination of its programs.

Foundation must continue to operate its stewardship plans for covered drugs and home-generated sharps waste, in accordance with statute, regulations, and its approved plans, respectively, until its termination date.
