Overview:
The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery
(CalRecycle) will hold a public information session on April 14, 2026, to
present information on the methodology
and findings from the following reports: Current State
of Collection, Current State
of Processing, Current State
of End Markets, Needed State
of Collection, Processing, and End Markets along with
selected portions of Consumer Education and Access
report as it relates to collection and processing.
Public Participation:
The publications to be discussed (linked
above) are posted on CalRecycle’s Needs Assessment webpage. Interested parties can
access and review the content in advance. There will be opportunities
for the public to ask questions
and provide comments during the information session.
CalRecycle requests that questions and comments be focused
on the specific topics being discussed.

CalRecycle will hold the information
session starting at 02:00 PM on April 14, 2026. The?information
session will be a hybrid in-person and virtual meeting. Instructions for how to

Simultaneous Spanish interpretation will be available
in-person at the workshop and remotely via Zoom or webcast. For in-person
interpretation services, headsets will be available and can be provided by
CalRecycle staff prior to or during the workshop. If you need interpretation

at packaging@CalRecycle.ca.gov by April
7, 2026, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
